I couldn’t think of a more dramatic title to this post, so I’m just going to aim for a little drama with a pic of our round entry table at night:
Yep, that’s right, we got a table for our newly opened entry. To celebrate, let’s revel in the moment of glory from going from this:
Those, my friends, are the pictures of dreams realized. No, not everything is perfect. The entry table is uber-traditional as is the rug it sets on. The glass vase is a freebie and I haven’t gotten around to getting a nice one yet. And I haven’t painted this table although I bought it when the express intention of doing so. Despite these shortcomings, the table was the cheapest I could find that fit the space, the rug was free (thanks mom and dad and your moving-castoffs), and the Trader Joe’s flowers and branches make me happy. Most of all, we are one step closer to completing this entry. Ha, remember the tearing down the walls, opening the mysterious entry doors, adding new lighting, and installing a new front door? Don’t worry, we are not too close to completion . . . we secretly have pretty damaged hardwood floors in the entry:
Just so I don’t leave you with that visual, here’s what I’m excited about today:
Anyone else one step closer to getting a room updated? Or feel like you can balance out traditional furniture with modern art (cause that’s our plan for the entry)? Next up for the entry, sharing with you my DIY-ed built-in storage.
