In my last update you saw all the white things (dresser, floors, walls, sofa, bed – I mean whoa, that’s a lot of white). And since then you’ve seen my IG updates (including my awesome new kitchen rug! which really has nothing to do with the ORC) but not much else. Let’s just say I’ve been working on all the non-white things. I’m not going crazy with color but anything that my eyeballs can rest on other than white is a good thing at this point. One of my favorite new pieces is this chair.
Yes. Just yes. I bought it on the Serena and Lily sale when my husband said something like “go for it, make all your hopes and dreams come true and buy that chair now.” My fingers couldn’t hit order fast enough.
Also, getting our new rugs have made a major change in the room. The big jute rug is a 10×14 and warms up the floor while leaving just enough painted floor showing around the edges. And the smaller rug layered on top keeps the space interesting and bright.
Aaaand I ordered some art! We’ll see where all of this lands, and likely not all of it will end up in this room, but here’s what I’m looking at to start.
My kids think that woman’s backside is amazing, and my immature humor kind of agrees. 🙂
And because you need to see more color/texture, here you go.
Overall, all of these new elements are taking the room from a massive white-out to much warmer and cozier. Which is pretty great for a master bedroom.
Okay, to do list:
