I hope you are ready for our master bedroom reveal because it’s done! And it’s good. Well, at least good in the sense that the two people living in it like it, and that’s what it’s all about, right? While I’ve posted some pics on Instagram, I’m really excited to show you the entire room. Yay for a room reveal! If you’re new here – welcome new friend! You should know that most of our house has a lot of white, wood, usually some black accents, and a bit of color thrown in for fun. This room is exactly all those things. You can catch the progression of the room with the befores, mood board, painted white floors and walls, and sneak peeks. But enough talk, let’s get to the eye candy. Is 30ish pictures too many?!
We stuck with a lot of white (bed, dresser, floors, desk, walls, sofa, fan, and more) but layered in colors on top.
I also used a lot of different textures throughout and added in black and brass. Because I like those things.
I really like the black doors, which I think help ground the entire space so it isn’t a total white-out.
We don’t have a lot of room on either side of our bed so narrower nightstands with sconces – I mean those sconces!! – work perfectly.
One of my favorite parts is this row of three pictures. They are just iPhone snaps from our family trip to Europe this summer but blowing them up and using oversized mats really helps them make a statement. And the wood frames don’t hurt either.
We had a little reading nook in the bedroom before, but amped it up with this rattan chair, plant, my new favorite pillow, and the cutest side table for books (and drinks – preferably adult ones).
And to remind you of the before, here you go. What a change.
I’m beyond glad our room is done! So often I’ve pushed this space to the back burner but having a space we love just feels so good. And getting it done in six weeks feels even better.
As I’ve said before, this isn’t my first One Room Challenge rodeo and every time I am so glad I do it (even though the “during” is often pretty stressful). Feel free to check out my other ORC reveals here – dining room, girl’s room, boy’s room, and entry.
Huge thanks to Linda at Calling it Home for putting together such a great event. Be sure to check out all the reveals here, they are amazing! And thanks so much to all of you for reading and all your support! I’ll be sharing the sources next so if you have any other questions you’d like me to answer, just let me know in the comments or when I keep oversharing this space on Instagram! xo.
