I was lucky enough to have a girls’ trip this past weekend where we spent the weekend at a one of the girls’ family’s cabin in the woods. LOVED IT! Every time I go to this cabin I am so impressed by its perfect finishes and cozy atmosphere, so this time decided to capture a few pics. Really, the word “cabin” does not do this place justice. So not only do the girls get to have a great time gabbing, eating, champagning (yep, that’s a word now), and goofing, we get to do it all in a beautiful and relaxed setting. So thought I’d share a few photos of what I think is the absolute perfect cabin in the woods.
Check out the exterior, and the snow – in May!
The ceilings are amazing. There is one huge post in the middle of the cabin, which is pretty awesome to look up to from either the main floor or the loft.
And even the post-connectors (totally not a technical term) really give such a great industrial, chic vibe to the cabin.
I especially thought it would be nice to share how great a kitchen and entire house can look when you ditch the all-white cabinets and trim and go for a more craftsman or rich, wood-toned look.
Can I say “love it!” about a hundred times in one post? Seriously, this cabin has been decorated so it really seems comfortable and high-end, all at the same time. Who wouldn’t want to cozy into this couch, or up by the fire, or check out the snow shoes on top of the hutch?
The owners also took advantage of natural resources and a northwest look, with a unique tile application in the bathrooms, slate floors, and hand-scraped wood throughout.
Really, this place is awesome and no words can do it adequate justice. And not one of these photos has been styled – this is just how cool it is!
Anyone else have a girl getaway? Or spend time at a cabin that seems to be finished even nicer than your own home??? Thanks, girls, for the super fun weekend! Get ready for our next one . . .
